Our Company History

In 1997, Avalanche Heating and Air Conditioning was initially founded with the focus on residential heating and air conditioning customers. Business began to increase and by 2002, the new and current owner, Glenn Philman officially registered the company as Avalanche Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc., dba Avalanche Mechanical (herein referred to as Avalanche Mechanical or Company), with the State of Colorado. With Glenn’s previous commercial experience in California through his employment with The Trane Company, Avalanche Mechanical grew to a full service commercial and industrial mechanical contractor. Currently, we provide the repair and installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment. We also install and service commercial kitchen equipment, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, large tonnage equipment, pipefitting, construction services/sheet metal fabrication, and commercial kitchen installations.

Avalanche Mechanical is licensed and insured for the protection of our Customers who include, but are not limited to, apartment complexes, retirement communities, casinos, government entities, Commercial business locations, restaurants, and construction contractors. We are respected members of the Better Business Bureaus of Denver and Boulder, Colorado, members of the Apartment Association of Metro Denver, and registered with Dunn & Bradstreet.

The corporate management structure is as follows: (i) Owners – Glenn and Cindy Philman, President and Vice President, respectively; (ii) General Manager – Dennis Anderson; (iii) Head Estimator, Construction /Sheet Metal and Mechanical – Bryan Zeller; and Office Manager – Pat Babi.

The office departments consist of the Accounts Payable – Cindy Philman, with the assistance of our Preventative Maintenance Service Coordinator, Anna Boswell, Accounts Receivable – Bill Philman; Dispatcher – Morgan Delllinger, and Office Manager/Human Resources/ Construction Project Coordinator – Pat Babi . Our office hours are 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to answer all customer inquiries and service requests. However, our Service Technicians are available 24-hours a day, 7 days per week. We currently utilize QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions for Contractors, Series 14.0 for tracking jobs, customer invoicing, vendor billing.. We utilize Microsoft Office Excel spread sheets, Microsoft Office Word, Outlook for email, and a dispatch system for tracking service requests and timely dispatching of the same. With these software programs, we are able to create, manage and generate reports as specified by management and the Customer. With our professional, courteous and knowledgeable employees, Avalanche Mechanical is willing and able to handle all or our customers’ needs.
